Hutchins Brings 20 Years of Transportation and Technology Expertise to FECI's Highly-Anticipated Passenger Rail Line
Coral Gables, FL (March 20, 2014) – Florida East Coast Industries (“FECI”), one of Florida's oldest and largest full-service commercial real estate, transportation, and infrastructure companies, today announced the addition of Ted Hutchins as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of All Aboard Florida.
As CIO, Hutchins will be responsible for the strategic and operational planning of IT-related endeavors on behalf of All Aboard Florida and its various business goals. This includes all functions as it relates to the development and deployment of a seamless integrated technology system on behalf of the highly anticipated passenger rail line. Hutchins will be part of the finance team led by Chief Financial Officer Jason Bewley.

Most recently, Hutchins was Vice President of Technology at Porter Airlines, where he successfully implemented the transformation of the company's ticketing system, launched a car rental program, upgraded technology systems and managed partner relationships.
Prior to his position at Porter Airlines, Hutchins served as Senior Director and Chief Technologist of AirTran Airways for 11 years. During his tenure, Hutchins was responsible for overseeing and streamlining various aspects of the airline's operations, including managing the IT team, creating and implementing new technological advancements and IT disaster recovery plans, developing and sustaining partnerships, as well as managing an operating budget of $32 million.
Hutchins holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Purdue University, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Alma College.
